About Us

Fitz (Dr Oliver) decided he wanted to become a veterinarian as a child after growing up with all kinds of animals on the island of Jamaica. Fitz studied first in Jamaica and then at Tuskegee University in Alabama.

Dr Oliver has been a veterinarian since 1997 and says he loves his work and the animals.  One thing you will quickly discover is that Fitz is soft spoken with a warm heart.  Animals take an instant and instinctive liking to him.

Dr Oliver's offices are staffed by people who love animals.  His policy is never to hire someone who is simply looking for a job.  Instead he seeks out those who truly love and enjoy the company of animals as he does.

This is a family business.  Dr Oliver's wife, Maxine works at the offices with him.  If you visit his home on any given day you will most likely find many of the people who work for him.  To Fitz this is not just a job, it's a way of life.

At home, Dr Oliver's favorite pet is a Yorkie named Sparkle.  Sparkle was named by Dr Oliver's son Fitzgerald (age 6) who loves animals. Sparkle loves to go for car rides and while small in size is a big part of the family.

In today's world of big business isn't it nice to know that there are still some family owned businesses where the whole family comes to work together.  There are even days where you may find the whole family, Fitz, Maxine, Fitzgerald and Sparkle all at the office together.
